Crude oil prices split in Wednesday’s trading as they fell in the US but rose in Europe. As a result, Oklahoma energy stocks were mixed in trading.
West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery, considered the US benchmark fell 6 cents to $65.63 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for July delivery rose 8 cents to finish at $68.96 a barrel in ICE Futures Europe.
June natural gas slipped 3 cents to $2.94 per 1,000 cubic feet.
At least three Oklahoma energy firms had big gains for the day. Devon Energy Corp gained 7.59% on a $1.78 increase to $25.23.
SandRidge Energy rose 28 cents for a 6.65% gain to $4.49. Mammoth Energy Services Inc. gained 6.39% as shares increased 23 cents to $3.83.
Alliance Resource Partners, LP gained 3.50% on a 20 cent increase to $5.92.
