The end of Monday’s trading brought another tumble in crude oil prices in the U.S. but an increase in prices in Europe while Oklahoma energy stocks suffered losses for the day.
West Texas Intermediate crude for May delivery dropped $2.80 to $58.65 a barrel in Monday’s trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for June delivery rose $2.71 to $62.15 a barrel.
May natural gas fell 13 cents to $2.51 per 1,000 cubic feet.
A lot of Oklahoma energy stocks suffered losses in Monday’s trading but Blueknight Energy Partners recorded a big day as its shares gained 8.77% on a 30 cent jump to $3.72.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. finished the day unchanged at $5.88 in the first day since trading was closed on Good Friday.
Ascent Resources fell 7 cents for a 1% loss to $6.83.
Chesapeake Energy dropped 27 cents for a loss of less than 1% to $44.66.
Cimarex Energy Co lost nearly 4% on a drop of $2.52 to $61.88.
Continental Resources lost nearly 6% on a $1.62 fall to $25.72.
Devon Energy finished with a 4.41% loss after shares fell $1.04 to $22.46.
Enable Midstream Partners LP was unchanged at $6.70.
Gulfport Energy lost 4% and finished at $0.048 cents.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. had a loss of 5.59% on a $1.59 fall to $26.85.
LSB Industries closed up one cent at $5.33 for a gain of 0.19%.
Magellan Midstream Partners closed with a nearly 1% gain after shares rose 41 cents to $44.58.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc finished with a 5.22% gain on a 28 cent increase to $5.64.
Matrix Service Co. gained about 1% on a 13 cent increase to $13.83.
NGL Energy Partners closed down 10 cents for a 4.59% loss to $2.08.
OGE Energy Corp closed up 22 cents for a gain of less than 1% to $32.83.
ONE Gas had a gain of 0.66% on a 51 cent increase to $77.32.
ONEOK Inc. lost 0.62% on a 32 cent slide to $51.03.
Ovintiv Inc lost 3.90% after shares fell 97 cents to $23.90.
PHX Minerals dropped a dime to $2.82 for a loss of 3.42%.
SandRidge Energy closed down 10 cents at $3.91 and a loss of 2.49%.
Unit Corporation was unchanged at $12.55.
Williams Companies Inc. finished down 15 cents at $23.75 and a loss of 0.63%.
The Texas Energy Report indicated some of the majors suffered big losses. Diamondback Energy lost more than 7%. Occidental Petroleum did the same.
