Regulators to review petroleum storage tank rules

The Petroleum Storage Tank Division of the Oklahoma Corporation Commission plans an April 13 Virtual Summer Planning meeting to discuss its first Industry Roundtable meeting in the summer.

The PSTD typically conducts a review of its rules to determine the necessity of conducting a formal rulemaking the following fall through spring. The division said that in an effort to be more transparent and collaborative, staff hopes to engage industry stakeholders each summer to discuss the rules.

Staffers are also working to eliminate what they consider to be outdated rules. The virtual meeting will allow them to communicate sooner about potential rulemaking changes prior to any formal rulemaking process.

Those wanting to take part are asking to email Susan Adlamini at Susan.Adlamini@occ.ok.gov by Monday April 12.
