Ovintiv scores big in Kingfisher County

 

Denver’s Ovintiv Mid-Continent Inc. did it again in the STACK with a five-well single-pad site that produced more than 4,200 barrels of oil a day.

The five Maybel wells, located at 24 16N 8W, a site 3 miles west of Kingfisher and a mile south of state Highway 33, had completion dates in September 2020 but the filings were not made until this week with state regulators. Their combined production was 4,222 barrels of oil a day.

The largest had a January 2020 spud date with drilling finished in March at a depth of 18,840 in the Mississippian but completion wasn’t made until Sept. 30, 2020. Production was 1,111 barrels of oil a day and 1,864 Mcf of natural gas.

A second well produced 925 barrels of oil a day and 1,603 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 19,220 feet. Completion was made Sept. 30, 2020.

A third Maybel well produced 910 barrels of oil a day and 1,607 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 18,611 feet. Completion was made Sept. 20, 2020.

A fourth well produced 546 barrels of oil a day and 925 Mcf of natural gas. Its drilled depth was 18,834 feet and completion was Sept. 20, 2020.

 

The fifth Ovintiv well had production of 729 barrels of oil a day and 1,118 Mcf of natural gas from a depth of 19,002 feet. Completion was made Sept. 30, 2020.

Oklahoma will see more drilling soon, based on permits to drill issued this week.

Chaparral Energy plans to drill the Hood 1006b #2LMH-5 in Canadian County. It is a site west of Mustang.

Ruffel Lance Oil & Gas LLC received a permit to drill the Anna #1-23 southwest of Maysville in Garvin County.

 

Citizen Energy III LLC received two permits, one for the Todd #1H-27-34 at a site northeast of Tuttle in Grady County and the Keeler #1H-9 near Dibble in McClain County.

Hinkle Oil & Gas Inc has a permit for the Lincoln Southeast Oswego Unit #46-2HO west of Crescent in Kingfisher County.

Encore Operating Inc. received a permit for the West Washington #1 located west of the town of Washington in McClain County.
