Lawton will soon be home to a new wind-turbine manufacturing plant. Carter Wind Turbines based in Wichita Falls, Texas announced plans for the operation in southern Oklahoma and only a short drive from its headquarters.
Lawton will be the location of a 40,000 square-foot manufacturing facility where mid-sized wind turbines will be constructed according to the Wichita Falls Times Record.
