Iowa lawmakers work to soften governor’s controversial biofuels bill

 

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds has one version of her controversial biofuels mandate plan across the state. Members of an Iowa state House committee have another.

The Representatives have changed the governor’s plan, softening its impact on the state. Fuel retailers convinced legislators that under Gov. Reynolds’ plan, it would cost them $1 billion in upgrades.
