Transcontinental Pipeline, part of the Tulsa-based Williams Cos. operations formally came out this week in opposition to a North Carolina extension of the Mountain Valley Pipeline.
Attorneys for the pipeline filed documents in court this week calling the “MVP’s proposed location—simply irresponsible.”
The Roanoke Times reported the Oklahoma-based pipeline is fighting Mountain Valley’s attempt to use eminent domain to acquire easements on private property.
The paper said Transco is also asking federal judges in Virginia and North Carolina to deny Mountain Valley’s requests to acquire space in or along its easements.
