The following story might be a “must read” for those members of Congress who want to bring an end to the nation’s oil and gas industry—or for those environmentalists attempting to do the same thing.

For all of their criticism of the industry, they might have either “forgotten” or been poorly educated about the extent of the manufacturing capabilities of what oil and gas means for the country, and as far as that goes, for the world.

Because the winter storm of February resulted in a shutdown of Gulf Coast refineries, now the car industry is facing a shortage of “foam” for car seats, a shortage that could result in a shutdown of manufacturing, whether it be fossil-fuel powered vehicles or electric vehicles.

The shortage was reported by Car and Driver.
