Interior nominee admits to still another late tax filing

The day after a Senate committee narrowly voted to recommend confirmation of New Mexico Democratic Rep. Deb Haaland to be Interior Secretary, it was reported she had some income tax filing issues stemming from three years ago.

She filed a tax return last December for the 2018 calendar year and did so without getting an extension. As a result, Republican Senators who opposed her nomination because of what they called her radical environmental stances get a fourth different account of what Haaland earned that year, reported Just The News.

Her nomination for Interior Secretary was opposed by Oklahoma U.S. Sen. James Lankford.
