Crude oil prices saw slight gain on Monday while Oklahoma energy stocks struggled

Following steep declines last week, crude oil prices on Monday rose slightly and at the same time, Oklahoma energy stocks went through small drops in their prices.

Analysts say the COVID-19 pandemic’s persistence is the problem. Investors aren’t sure that there will be much of an increased demand for gasoline especially after fresh lockdown restrictions in Europe.

West Texas Intermediate crude for April delivery finished Monday up 13 cents at $61.55 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Brent crude oil for May delivery rose 9 cents to reach $64.62 a barrel in trading on ICE Futures Europe.

April natural gas went up 4 cents to $2.58 per 1,000 cubic feet.
