Colorado Senate approved controversial appointees to Oil and Gas Commission

 

Republicans in the Colorado State Senate fought the appointments of Gov. Jared Polis to the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission but in the end, their arguments over the lack of appointees from rural areas of the state fell by the wayside.

The Colorado Senate approved the panel of so-called experts who will make decisions directly affecting the oil and gas industry—experts who mostly are from the Denver metropolitan area.
