Give Valero two years and and it will be the largest renewable diesel fuel producer in the U.S.
The company announced it partnered with Darling Ingredients to build a 470-million-gallon renewable diesel plant at Port Arthur, Texas, making it the second such facility for Valero.
Reuters reported the $1.45 billion Diamond Green Diesel joint venture will produce 1.2 billion gallons of renewable diesel a year from the two sites in Texas and Louisiana.
