US crude hits $63 a barrel—$67 overseas

 

Crude oil prices made dramatic jumps in Wednesday’s trading.

West Texas Intermediate crude for April delivery rose $1.55 to reach $63.22 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Global benchmark Brent crude for April delivery increased $1.67 to settle at $67.04 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

Natural gas wasn’t so fortunate as prices for March delivery fell 3 cents to $2.85 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Some Oklahoma energy stocks responded with increased gains, the largest of which was the 9.54% increase by LSB Industries Inc. Shares increased 39 cents to finish the day at $4.48.

 Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. went up 9 cents for a 1.43% gain to $6.39.

Blueknight Energy Partners LP gained 3.57% on an 8 cent increase to $2.32.
Cimarex Energy Co had a 6.65% gain on a $3.79 increase to $60.81.
Chesapeake Energy went up $1.34 to $45 for a 3% gain.
Devon Energy Corp had a gain of 3.15% when stocks rose 68 cents to settle at $22.27.
Enable Midstream Partners LP finished up 39 cents at $6.96 for a gain of nearly 6% after it reported its fourth quarter 2020 earnings.
Gulfport Energy Corporation gained 4.82% to finish at 0.087 cents.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. went up $1.55 to $29.38 for a gain of 5.57%.
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. gained 1.91% when stocks rose 82 cents to $43.86.
Matrix Service Co increased 28 cents for a 2.04% gain to $14.
NGL Energy Partners LP finished up 13 cents for a 5.33% gain to $2.57.
ONEOK, Inc. gained 2.39% on a $1.09 increase to $46.71.
Ovintiv Inc was up 30 cents for a 1.28% gain to $23.65.
SandRidge Energy Inc. closed at $5.40 with a 21 cent increase 4.05% gain.
Williams Companies Inc finished the day up 7 cents at $23.91 for a gain of 0.29%.
Other Oklahoma energy stocks saw losses for Wednesday’s trading.
Laredo Petroleum Inc lost $1.93 or 5.23% to finish at $34.99.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc closed down 20 cents at $6.49 for a nearly 3% loss.
OGE Energy Corp. dropped 24 cents or 0.76% to close at $31.16.
ONE Gas Inc was down too, dropping 16 cents or 0.23% to finish at $69.85.
PHX Minerals Inc fell 5 cents for a 1.44% loss to $3.42.
