Oil tumbled to $61 and energy stocks followed

Crude oil prices plunged in Friday’s trading and now investors and producers await Monday’s trading to see if there will be a rebound.

West Texas Intermediate crude for April delivery fell $2.03 to $61.50 a barrel on Friday. Global benchmark Brent crude dropped 75 cents to $66.13 a barrel.

Natural gas for April fell one cent to $2.77 per 1,000 cubic feet.

The drop in energy prices spread quickly to Oklahoma energy stocks. Only two of the stocks we normally carry with Oklahoma bases or operations made gains in Friday’s trading.

Devon Energy stocks increased 19 cents for a nearly 1% gain to $21.54.

Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. went up 15 cents for a 2.45% gain to $5.98.

The other Oklahoma stocks suffered losses for the day and their investors hope for a bounce back in prices on Monday.

Blueknight Energy Partners LP fell one cent to $2.26 for a loss of 0.44%.
Chesapeake Energy lost 1.27% on a 57 cent drop to $44.18.
Cimarex Energy Co. fell 40 cents for a less than 1% loss to $57.99.
Continental Resources, Inc. lost 2.42% as stocks declined 60 cents to $24.18.
Enable Midstream Partners LP closed down 25 cents at $6.62 for a 3.64% loss.
Gulfport Energy Corporation closed up 3.29% at $0.088 cents.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. finished down 22 cents at $28.73 for a loss of less than 1%.
LSB Industries, Inc. lost nearly 5% when stocks dropped 22 cents to $4.45.
Laredo Petroleum Inc fell 87 cents to $32.59 for a 2.60% loss.
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. suffered a 91 cent drop to $41.67 for a 2.14% loss.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc had a large loss of 12.58% as stocks fell 80 cents to settle at $5.56.
Matrix Service Co dropped 14 cents for a 1% loss to $13.57.
NGL Energy Partners LP lost 5.53% on a 14 cent tumble to $2.39.
OGE Energy Corp. went down 34 cents to $29.27 for a 1.15% loss.
ONE Gas Inc. dropped $2.04 for a nearly 3% loss to $66.97.
ONEOK Inc. settled at $44.29, a drop of $1.11 and a 2.44% loss.
PHX Minerals Inc lost more than 4% on a 15 cent fall to $3.51
SandRidge Energy lost nearly 5% on a 26 cent slide to $5.01.
Williams Companies Inc. lost 2.60% when stocks fell 61 cents to $22.84.
Other stocks suffered the same day of losses as the Texas Energy Report indicated on Friday.

Energy Transfer LP (ET) down 0.42 at 7.64 – change 5.22%

Enterprise Products Partners (EPD) down 0.40 at 21.32 – change 1.85%

EOG Resources (EOG) down 6.03 at 64.56 – change 8.55%

ExxonMobil (XOM) down 1.39 at 54.37 – change 2.50%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) down 0.59 at 14.70 – change 3.86%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) down 0.20 at 11.10 – change 1.77%

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) down 0.40 at 15.10 – change 2.59%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) down 0.15 at 26.61 – change 0.53%

Phillips 66 (PSX) down 1.59 at 83.05 – change 1.88%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) down 0.48 at 148.57 – change 0.33%

Valero (VLO) down 1.17 at 76.98 – change 1.50%
