Investors in Occidental Petroleum Corp were in for a shock on Monday when the company posted a larger-than-expected fourth-quarter loss.
Even though oil and gas prices rose during the quarter, the company still posted a $731 million loss compared with a loss of $269 million in the same quarter a year earlier.
