New drilling interest in Oklahoma

 

Energy companies are planning more drilling activity in Oklahoma including Continental Resources which obtained permits to drill this week including a four-well site in Grady County.

Continental actually received permits for five Sandy Creek Ranch wells, with one to be located adjacent to the four-well, single-pad site.

The SANDY CREEK RANCH #4-30-19XHW, is located at 31 4N 5W which is a site midway between the cities of Lindsay and Rush Springs.

The remaining Sandy Creek Ranch wells will be drilled on a single pad nearby at 30 4N 5W.

A permit to drill in Grady County was also obtained by Camino Natural Resources. The REBA MCENTIRE 1006 #29-32-1MXH, is to be drilled at a site northwest of Tuttle.

Kodiak Oil and Gas Inc. received a permit to drill in Carter County. The Oil City Unit #79 site is about 3 miles northeast of Healdton at 27 3S 2W.

A Creek County permit was obtained by Little River Energy Company to drill Terrain #1-32 at 32 19N 7E which is in the city of Oilton.

At least one new completion was filed this week by Derby Exploration LLC. The Chain 19-30-1xh located at 30 18N 14W which is northwest of the community of Oakwood had production of 154 barrels of oil a day and 2,896 Mcf of natural gas.

The well had a spud date in August 2019 but completion was not made until November 2020 at a depth of 18,734 in the Mississippian.
