Frozen gators in southeast Oklahoma

 

Just how cold was it in Oklahoma over the past week?  Cold enough that alligators in Southeast Oklahoma were found frozen in ponds with their snouts sticking above the ice in order to survive.

Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation’s David Arbour spotted some of them in the more than 5,800-acre wetland project called the Red Slough Wildlife Management Area of McCurtain County.
