Crude hits $61 in the US and $65 in Europe

Crude oil prices made big rebounds in Monday’s trading as West Texas Intermediate, considered to be the benchmark U.S. crude oil price rose above $61.

WTI for March delivery went up $2.25 a barrel to settle at $61.49 a barrel in Monday’s trading.

Global benchmark Brent crude oil for April delivery jumped $2.33 to finish the day at $65.24 a barrel in trading on ICE Futures Europe.

Natural gas for March delivery dropped 12 cents and settled at $2.95 per 1,000 cubic feet.

The climb in oil prices apparently sparked interest in Oklahoma energy stocks as most reported gains for the day—the largest being the nearly 13% for Mammoth Energy Services. The company saw stocks increase 70 cents for a 12.64% gain to $6.24.

Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. had a one cent gain to $6.31 or an increase of 0.16%.

Blueknight Energy Partners LP Common Stock went up 6 cents for a 2.73% gain to $2.26.
Cimarex Energy Co rose $1.71 for a 3.40% gain to $52.01.
Continental Resources, Inc. settled up 92 cents at $23.31 for a gain of 4.11%.
Devon Energy Corp gained more than 2% as stocks rose 42 cents to finish the day at $21.25.
Enable Midstream Partners LP finished at $6.48, up 41 cents for a gain of 6.75%.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc closed at $27.88 with a 5.13% gain on an increase of $1.36.
LSB Industries, Inc. increased 16 cents for a 3.91% gain to $4.25.
Laredo Petroleum Inc rose $1.23 to $36.29 for a gain of 3.51%.
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. gained 2.63% after shares rose $1.09 to reach $42.58.
Matrix Service Co rose 55 cents to $13.61 for a gain of 4.21%.
NGL Energy Partners LP closed up 6 cents at $2.52 for a gain of 2.44%.
ONEOK, Inc. had a 25 cent increase to $46.10, a gain of half a point.
Ovintiv Inc increased $1.26 to hit $22.62 for a gain of nearly 6%.
PHX Minerals Inc had a 5.39% gain on an 18 cent increase to $3.52.
SandRidge Energy Inc. finished up 16 cents at $5.41 for a gain of 3.05%.
Williams Companies Inc closed up 27 cents at $22.91 for a gain of more than 1% just before it released its fourth quarter earnings report.
Only a few Oklahoma energy firms reported losses for the day.
Chesapeake Energy dropped 16 cents to $43.84, a loss of 0.36%.
Gulfport Energy Corporation fell more than 7.5% to slightly more than 8 cents a share.
OGE Energy Corp. had a 2.57% loss when shares fell 82 cents to $31.10.
ONE Gas Inc lost $4.04 and closed at $70.02 for a 5.46% loss.

ExxonMobil (XOM) up 1.93 at 54.30 – change 3.68%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) up 0.21 at 15.17 – change 1.40%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) up 0.75 at 10.19 – change 7.93%

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) up 0.97 at 15.00 – change 6.91%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 1.05 at 26.47 – change 4.13%

Phillips 66 (PSX) up 1.65 at 83.96 – change 2.00%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) up 5.53 at 139.47 – change 4.12%

Valero (VLO) up 2.72 at 74.25 – change 3.80%
