Corporation Commission to meet Friday

Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners will hold a regular meeting Friday morning to first consider their daily signing agenda.

They will also consider some proposed rule changes including one for Gas and Hazardous Liquid Pipeline Safety. Another would pertain to Rules of Practice while a third concerns the Oil and Gas Conservation division.

One aspect of the proposed rule for Gas and Hazardous Liquid Pipeline Safety is to set limits to the notice of excavation damage requirement for property damage that exceeds $5,000 value.

The proposed rule for Rules of Practice applies to the Commission’s Electronic Case Filing system.

The last proposal applies to test requirements for horizontal wells.

The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will be virtual due to the continuing rules that apply to the COVID-19 pandemic.
