Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has gone after President Biden’s executive orders against oil and gas by issuing his own executive orders giving state agencies the nod to file legal challenges to the Biden administration’s policies.
“When it comes to threats to your jobs, you have a governor who has your back,” he told workers at an oilfield service firm where he signed his order this past week.
“Texas will protect the oil and gas industry from any type of hostile attack from Washington,” promised Abbott who contends the actions by Biden will undercut energy production in Texas.
Reuters reported the governor gave approval for his state agencies to sue the federal government for federal overreach.
