Scott Pruitt’s official portrait to be unveiled Friday at EPA

The unveiling of the official portrait of former Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt will be held Friday at EPA headquarters in Washington, DC.

Pruitt, the former Oklahoma Attorney General who was picked by President Trump resigned in 2018 following a series of political missteps including criticism of his lavish travel and treatment of staff.

Whether Pruitt will be on hand isn’t known but the Washington Post reported there will be a gathering of family, friends and former colleagues for the official unveiling.

EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler informed the paper that the portrait, consisting of a framed photo transferred to canvas cost taxpayers $4,513. The bill is far less than what it cost to frame the portrait of Gina McCarthy who preceded Pruitt in the Obama administration.
