It’s all about business. While fighting biofuel mandate waivers for small refineries like the Wynnewood Refining Company in Oklahoma, the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association has now come out in a fight against electric cars.
It’s what Iowa Renewable Fuels Association executive director Monte Shaw said during a virtual Renewable Fuels Summit on Wednesday.
He also called on the Biden administration to reverse the ethanol waivers granted to three refineries by the Trump administration.
Radio Iowa reported Shaw then turned his attention to the accelerated production of electric vehicles, warning of an approaching fight.
“In short, we must be ready to do battle in 2021,” he said.
