Monday was a good day for several Oklahoma energy companies as their shares made significant gains on the first full day of trading in 2021.
The strong showing came as crude oil prices dropped on Monday. West Texas Intermediate crude for February delivery fell 27 cents to $47.35, a change of 0.57% in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude lost 71 cents to settle at $51.09 a barrel in trading on ICE Futures Europe. It amounted to a 1.37% decline for Brent crude.
Natural gas finished up two cents at $2.60 per MMBtu, a change of 0.66%.
Blueknight Energy Partners LP had a 3 cent increase for a gain of 1.52% to $2.01.
