Hot Springs, Arkansas to build largest municipal solar plant in the state

 

Hot Springs, Arkansas revealed plans to build the state’s largest municipal solar plant.

The plant will consist of 31,000 solar panels to be installed on city-owned property, according to Fox 16 TV news.

Upon completion, the solar project will power all of the city buildings and functions in Hot Springs. The city manager said savings from a 28-year contract could be close to $30 million for the city.
