Burying beetle issue is still on the burner

 

 

Remember the American Burying Beetle?  At one time the government classified it as endangered when only a small population of the large scavenging beetle had been found in eastern Oklahoma and an island off the coast of Rhode Island.

Now the Arizona-based Center for Biological Diversity says it will file suit over the government’s decision to reclassify the bug as “threatened” instead of “endangered,” reported the Associated Press.
