Biden to reportedly kill Keystone XL line on first day in office

It should come as no surprise but a published report claims President-elect Joe Biden will cancel the Keystone XL pipeline permit, perhaps on his first day in office.

Reuters reported that one source familiar with Biden suggested the $9 billion project will be targeted among his first acts in office and he will take the action through a series of executive orders.

While President Trump supported the project, it was in the Obama administration when Biden was vice president that the project’s permit was rejected because of climate change.

The Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported the words “Rescind Keystone XL pipeline permit” were supposedly on a list of executive actions likely scheduled on Biden’s first day of presidency.
