Wyoming, a state where Oklahoma oil and gas developers have explored in the past and some firms have operations shipping oil to Cushing is suffering the same fate from the COVID-19 pandemic and its disastrous impact.

A new report by the University of Wyoming shows unemployment in the state is steadily decreasing but not in the state’s mining and natural resources industry which includes oil and gas. There, two out of five workers were without jobs in September 2020 according to a report by Oil City News in Casper.
