Wind turbine maker closes Colorado plant

 

A northern Colorado manufacturer of composite materials for wind turbines shut down operations this month.

Hexcel Corp. closed the plant in Windsor and the impact of COVID-19 might have played a role.

The Greeley Tribune reported the announcement came as nationwide wind turbine sales dropped more than 40%.
