One of the latest electrical power plants in Texas to make the switch from coal to natural gas is in the Panhandle.
KFDA TV reports that Xcel Energy announced the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality reached an agreement with the firm to convert its Harrington power plant in Amarillo to a natural gas fuel system in order to meet national air standards.
