Still some drilling interest in Oklahoma

 

Oklahoma is seeing a slight increase in drilling interests based on the number of permits to drill approved by the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.

At least 17 permits were approved since Nov. 13 of this year. The permits show there will be drilling throughout the state with most of it in the western half of Oklahoma.

Major and Coal counties each are the sites of multiple drilling permits. Single permits were approved for drilling in Canadian, Garvin, Hughes, Washita, Love, Blaine, Custer, Lincoln, Okmulgee, Caddo, Garfield and McClain counties.

The two permits for Major County went to Comanche Exploration Co. LLC while the three permits for drilling in Coal County were approved for Canyon Creek Energy Arkoma LLC.

The permits went to Cimarex Energy Co. to drill in Canadian County, Continental Resources in Garvin County, Canyon Creek Energy Arkoma LLC in Hughes County, JMA Energy Company LLC in Washita County, First Ascent Operating LLC in Love County, Staghorn Petroleum II LLC in Blaine County, Duncan Oil Properties Inc. in Custer County, Prairie Gas Company of Oklahoma in Lincoln County, State Fund Plugging in Okmulgee County, Territory Resources LLC in Caddo County, M M Energy LLC in Garfield County and Warwick-Minerva LLC for McClain County.
