Pfizer couldn’t help Oklahoma energy stocks Wednesday

Energy stocks in Oklahoma and those of companies with operations in the state showed a mix in Thursday’s trading. They joined a national movement of losses which reversed the gains made earlier in the week when Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine announcement was made.

West Texas Intermediate crude dropped 17 cents on the barrel to end the day at $41.65, a decline of 0.41%.

Benchmark Brent crude finished the day up 59 cents for a 1.35% gain to $41.65 in trading on ICE Futures Europe.

Natural gas prices finished up two cents for about a 1% gain to $2.73 per MMBtu.

But for a second straight day, Oklahoma City’s Mammoth Energy Services stood out with a 7.35% gain following a 15-cent jump in shares to $2.19. On Tuesday, the company saw a 13% climb with a 23-cent-a-share increase.

Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. was another company in the 7% range. Its shares shot up 29 cents for a gain of 7.49% to $4.16.

Blueknight Energy Partners was unchanged at $1.60. Chesapeake Energy fell 6 cents for a fall of 1.83% to $3.21. Continental Resources, Inc. had a gain of 18 cents or 1.23% to reach $14.87.

Cypress Environmental Partners LP ended with a 3 cent increase or a 1.46% gain to $2.09. Devon Energy Corp. finished down 35 cents for a 2.67% decline to $12.76. Enable Midstream Partners LP gained 2 cents and finished at $5.04.
Gulfport Energy Corporation had a gain of more than 1% to reach 16 cents a share following its weekend filing of Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Helmerich & Payne, Inc. added 81 cents for a 4.27% gain to $19.77. LSB Industries, Inc. ended up 2 cents or about 1% and ended the day at $2.11.
Laredo Petroleum Inc. fell 6.48% or 77 cents to $11.12.  Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. dropped 58 cents for a 1.40% tumble to $40.80. Matrix Service Co. closed down 13 cents or 1.33% at $9.68.
OGE Energy Corp. dropped 93 cents for a 2.72% slide to $33.28.
ONE Gas Inc. finished down $2.31 or 2.96% at $75.78. ONEOK, Inc. lost a dollar or 3% and closed at $32.31.
Ovintiv Inc. ended the day with a 2 cent loss at $12.27. 
PHX Minerals Inc. lost 6 cents or 3.43% and closed at $1.69.
SandRidge Energy Inc. was unchanged at $2.74.
WPX Energy Inc finished down 18 cents for a 2.69% drop to $6.51. Williams Companies Inc. lost 83 cents or 3.98% and closed at $20.
