Judge again blocks oil and gas leases in Wyoming

For the second time in two years, a U.S. District Court Judge for the District of Columbia has blocked drilling on more than 300,000 acres in Wyoming.

Judge Ralph Contreras issued his ruling on Friday, claiming the government failed to adequately consider the drilling impact on climate change, reported Reuters.

The wire service reported the Judge also ordered the environmental analyses of 2828 oil and gas leases be returned to the Bureau of Land Management where more studies can be conducted.
