Energy stocks slide as nervous investors await Presidential counting
As votes were being counted in some states a day after the Presidential election, it was obvious that investors might have been nervous about the impact of the outcome.
Energy stocks of Oklahoma energy companies, for the most part were down and some, like Alliance Resource Partners took a severe beating as its shares fell 52 cents or nearly 14%, ending the day at $3.24.
Cypress Environmental Partners plunged nearly 8%. Company shares dropped 17 cents or 7.80% to end the day at $2.01.
Blueknight Energy Partners dropped about 4% or 5 cents a share to finish at $1.34. Chesapeake Energy Corporation rose 4 cents for a gain of 1.09% to reach $3.70.
Continental Resources, Inc. gained 16 cents or 1.26% and settled at $12.87. Devon Energy Corp. finished up 17 cents for a gain of 1.76% at $9.81. Enable Midstream Partners LP slipped half a cent to end the day at $4.25.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. dropped 15 cents or about 1% to close at $15.60. LSB Industries, Inc. finished down 11 cents or nearly 5% at $2.10. Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. had a gain of 71 cents or about 2% to close at $36.69.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc. ended the day at $1.85, up 5 cents or nearly 3%. Matrix Service Co. skidded 5.06% or 43 cents and fell to $8.07. NGL Energy Partners LP closed at $2.53, down 8 cents for a 3.07% drop.
OGE Energy Corp. fell 27 cents or about 1% to $32.24. ONE Gas Inc. dropped $1.15 or about 2% to $72.52. ONEOK, Inc. slipped 32 cents or 1.11% and settled at $28.60.
Ovintiv Inc. ended the day at $9.63, down 4 cents. PHX Minerals Inc. finished at $1.52, down 1 cent or about 1%. SandRidge Energy Inc. was down 12 cents or 6.25% at $1.80.
WPX Energy Inc. had a gain of 7 cents or 1.41% to finish the day at $5.02. Williams Companies Inc. closed up 11 cents or about 1% at $19.09 per share.
