With another jump in Brent crude oil prices, Oklahoma energy stocks had a second consecutive strong showing in trading.
Crude prices dropped in the U.S. where West Texas Intermediate dropped 11 cents before finishing the day at $44.80 per barrel.
Global benchmark Brent crude saw a nearly 4% increase when prices jumped $1.80 before it settled at $47.86 in trading on ICE Futures Europe.
LSB Industries, Inc. had one of the strongest as its shares shot up nearly 15% following a 31-cent increase before settling at $2.40 per share.
Gulfport Energy Corporation, still in the middle of its recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing saw a more than 9% gain after its shares rose about 1 cent and finished the day at 14 cents per share.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. had a nearly 3% gain following a 12 cent jump in shares to settle at $4.30. Blueknight Energy Partners LP finished up one cent for not quite a 1% gain to reach $1.63. Chesapeake Energy Corporation slipped a dime per share for a 3.33% fall to $2.90.
Continental Resources, Inc. rose 66 cents to finish at $17.50 for a nearly 4% gain. Cypress Environmental Partners LP closed down a penny at $2.60. Devon Energy Corp finished up 82 cents at $15.30 per share for a gain of 5.66%.
Enable Midstream Partners LP dropped nearly 7% following a 38 cent per share slide to $5.29. Helmerich & Payne, Inc. rose $1.16 which amounted to a 5% gain to $24.22. Laredo Petroleum Inc
gained 47 cents for a more than 4% increase to $11.75.
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. picked up $1.07 for a 2.49% gain to $44.07. Mammoth Energy Services Inc fell 8 cents for a slide of 3.57% to $2.16. Matrix Service Co. closed up 33 cents at $10.53 per share for a gain of 3.24%. NGL Energy Partners LP
closed down nearly 8 cents for a 2.78% drop to $2.62.
OGE Energy Corp. gained 69 cents and closed at $34.76, an increase of 2.03%. ONE Gas Inc saw a nearly 5% gain following an increase of $3.73 per share to reach $81.87. Ovintiv Inc closed up 45 cents for a 3.45% gain to $13.48.
PHX Minerals Inc tacked on 11 cents to close at $1.88 which was a 6.21% gain. SandRidge Energy Inc. closed up 4 cents for a gain of 1.39% and settled at $2.92 per share. WPX Energy Inc saw a nearly 6% gain with a 43 cent per share increase to finish the day at $7.86. Williams Companies Inc finished up 68 cents at $21.96 per share—a gain of 3.20%.
