Energy stocks closed down on Friday

 

Crude oil futures ended Thanksgiving week with a mixed result but it also gave hope to investors and traders that West Texas Crude is slowly on the rise.

WTI futures had a 7.3% gain for the week, the largest one-week increase since Oct. 9. It was also the fourth consecutive week of making gains.

On Friday, WTI for January delivery dropped 18 cents or 0.8% to finish the day at $45.53 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange. It made a 1.8% gain on Wednesday and the markets were closed on Thursday.

 

Global benchmark Brent crude rose 38 cents or 0.8% and finished the day at $48.18 a barrel in trading on ICE Futures Europe.

Oklahoma energy stocks by a large saw declines in Friday’s trading with a few exceptions including Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. where a 30-cent-a-share increase resulted in a nearly 7% gain to $4.64.

Blueknight Energy Partners LP ended the day up 1 cent for a nearly 1% increase to $1.70 per share. Chesapeake Energy Corporation gained 17 cents for a gain of 6.33% and settled at $2.84. Continental Resources, Inc. dropped 69 cents for a 4% tumble to $16.88.
Cypress Environmental Partners LP closed down 11 cents for a 4.21% slide to $2.50. Devon Energy Corp fell 34 cents for a drop of 2.25% to $14.78 per share. Enable Midstream Partners LP closed down 32 cents for a 6% fall to $5.19.
Gulfport Energy Corporation, struggling to recover from its Chapter 11 bankruptcy suffered a nearly 5% drop to 14 cents per share. Helmerich & Payne, Inc. closed down 37 cents for a 1.53% drop to $23.75. LSB Industries, Inc. finished up 4 cents for a 1.62% gain to $2.51.

 Laredo Petroleum Inc rose 31 cents or 2.40% to $13.25. Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. dropped 75 cents for a slide of 1.73% to $42.51. Mammoth Energy Services Inc saw a gain of 8 cents or 3.69% and settled at $2.25.

Matrix Service Co finished down 7 cents or about 1% to $10.43. 
 NGL Energy Partners LP dropped 4% following a 9 cent fall to $2.32. OGE Energy Corp. closed at $33.65 following a 99 cent a share drop that amounted to a 2.86% fall.

 ONE Gas Inc finished down $2.34 or 2.85% and closed at $79.79. 
ONEOK, Inc. fell 31 cents or about 1% to settle at $37.23. Ovintiv Inc. finished the week with a 14-cent gain on Friday equating to about 1% and settled at $13.87.

PHX Minerals Inc ended the day up 2 cents for a gain of 1.11% and closed at $1.82. SandRidge Energy Inc. fell 11 cents for a 3.68% fall to $2.88. WPX Energy Inc closed down 23 cents or about 3% at $7.51. Williams Companies Inc fell 16 cents or about 1% and closed at $21.46.

ExxonMobil (XOM) down 0.62 at 40.19 – change 1.52%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) down 0.10 at 14.75 – change 0.68%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) down 0.08 at 6.35 – change 1.25%

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) down 0.45 at 13.15 – change 3.31%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) down 0.16 at 16.55 – change 0.96%

Parsley Energy (PE) down 0.04 at 13.75 – change 0.30%

Phillips 66 (PSX) down 1.03 at 65.23 – change 1.56%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) up 0.11 at 110.07 – change 0.10%

Valero (VLO) up 0.19 at 56.62 – change 0.33%
