Crude futures up slightly while energy stocks had a lukewarm Wednesday

Investors who were hoping for improved trading of energy stocks on Wednesday didn’t get much of it. Sort of like sipping on cold coffee—unless of course you happen to like it cold.

West Texas Intermediate crude for December finished up 9 cents for a gain of 0.22% at $41.45.

Global benchmark Brent crude rose 12 cents for an increase of 0.26% to reach $43.73 on ICE futures Europe.

Mammoth Energy Services took one of the highest hits—a 10% drop translating to 18 cents a share as the company settled at $1.62.

Alliance Resource Partners dropped 8 cents for a slide of 2.29% to $3.41. Blueknight Energy Partners LP ended up 2 cents for a gain of 1.34% to reach $1.51. Chesapeake Energy Corporation rose 3 cents for about a 1% gain to $3.42.

Continental Resources, Inc. fell 39 cents for a 2.69% drop to $14.09. Cypress Environmental Partners LP suffered a 12 cent drop or 5.71% to $1.98. Devon Energy Corp. slid 10 cents or about 1% to $11.66.
Enable Midstream Partners LP closed at $4.97, down 4 cents or about 1%. Helmerich & Payne, Inc. finished down 12 cents or about 1% at $17.28. LSB Industries, Inc. dropped about 6% or 12 cents to close at $1.96.
Laredo Petroleum Inc. finished down 58 cents or 5% at $11.35. 
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. closed up 23 cents or about 1% at $38.61. Matrix Service Co. finished down 2 cents at $9 per share.
 OGE Energy Corp. lost 27 cents or nearly 1% and closed for the day at $33.95. ONE Gas Inc. ended the day down 5 cents or 1% at $77.52. ONEOK, Inc. closed at $32.12, a 42 cent or 1.29% decline.
Ovintiv Inc. ended down 3.29% or 37 cents at $10.89. PHX Minerals Inc. saw a gain of 3.47% or 6 cents to close at $1.79.
SandRidge Energy Inc. finished at $2.63 following a nearly 3% decline of 7 cents.
WPX Energy Inc. settled down 5 cents or 1% at $5.98 per share. 
Williams Companies Inc. finished the day up 3 cents at $20.02.
