COVID-19 restrictions extended by Oklahoma regulators

As they sat divided by newly-installed plexiglass partitions, Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners on Thursday voted to extend their COVID-19 restrictions and precautions.

Two of the commissioners, Bob Anthony and Dana Murphy wore masks as required under this week’s executive order issued by Gov. Kevin Stitt. Commission chairman Todd Hiett did not wear a mask as he presided over the meeting.

All three commissioners  attended the in-person meeting in their meeting room of the Jim Thorpe building. The meeting was televised to the public.

The plexiglass partitions were recently installed, separating each of the commissioners from one another.

Under the 5th order approved by the commission since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic last February and March, the restrictions, including the closure to the public of the agency’s headquarters in the Jim Thorpe building will be extended to Dec. 31, 2020.
