Colorado oil and gas group urges “impartiality” in state’s greenhouse reduction plan

An oil and gas group in Colorado is urging the governor to consider all stakeholders and not target the oil and gas industry in designing a Greenhouse Gas Pollution Reduction roadmap.

The American Petroleum Institute Colorado, in a public comment to the plan announced Sept. 30 by Gov. Jared Polis said the plan should be sector-and technology-impartial and incentive driven reported the Natural Gas Intelligence.

Lynn Granger with API CO stated her group supports efforts for GHG reduction but also said “policymakers should keep in mind that these actions and policies need not be prescriptive or overly burdensome – policies should be supportive and flexible.”
