Trump administration dinged by government watchdog for pandemic relief for oil companies

 

The Washington Post used a new congressional report critical of the Trump administration’s coronavirus pandemic relief for oil and gas producers to continue its targeted criticism of the President and the oil and gas industry.

The report from the U.S. Government Accountability Office, according to the Post, said the government flouted its own goals when giving struggling producers a break this spring on payments to the government for oil and gas pumped from federal lands.
