Friday was just not a good day for energy companies as they saw the value of their shares slide downward in trading. So the leaders of those Oklahoma energy firms will be looking for improvements on Monday.
Here’s how some of the local stocks did. Alliance Resource Partners dropped 5 cents or nearly 2% to $2.68. Blueknight Energy Partners finished at $1.37, down 2 cents or about 1.5%. Chesapeake Energy was one of the companies that saw an astounding 25% increase as its shares closed up $1.01 at $5.01.
Continental Resources finished at $13.16 after a 40 cent or 3% decline. Cypress Environmental Partners slid one cent to $2.16. Devon Energy settled down 47 cents or 5% to $8.95.
Enable Midstream Partners fell 16 cents for a 3.35% decline to $4.62.Helmerich and Payne finished down 58 cents for a 4% drop to $14.35. LSB Industries dropped 1% or 2 cents to $2.20.
Laredo Petroleum tumbled 24 cents for a 3% slide to $9.05. Magellan Midstream Partners ended the day at $36.72, down 52 cents or 1.40%. Mammoth Energy Services slipped 5 cents for a 3% slide to $1.67.
Matrix Service Co. fell 12 cents or 1.47% to $8.03. NGL Energy Partners suffered a more than 9% drop of 38 cents to $3.83. OGE Energy Corp. added 11 cents to reach $31.56.
ONE Gas Inc. dropped 28 cents to $73.11. ONEOK Inc. lost 92 cents or 3.09% to hit $28.90. Ovintiv Inc. finished down 41 cents for a 4.21% slide to $9.32.
Panhandle Oil and Gas ended the day down one cent or about 1% at $1.63. SandRidge Energy finished at $1.65, down 5 cents or 3%. WPX Energy took a more than 5% slide of 25 cents to $4.57. Williams Cos. dropped 44 cents or 2.23% to $19.27.
Other stocks also had a down day on Friday.
