Oil prices jumped but a lot of energy stocks didn’t follow suit, with a few exceptions.
Alliance Energy Resources finished Wednesday up 9 cents for a 3.32% gain to $2.80 a share. Blueknight Energy slipped one cent for a 1% drop to $1.34. Chesapeake Energy took a 37 cent tumble or nearly 9% decline to $3.91.
Continental Resources finished up 3 cents at $13.22. Cypress Environmental Partners took a 16 cent loss or 7.02% to slide down to $2.12. Devon Energy dropped 18 cents for a 2% decline to $9.32. Enable Midstream Partners finished up 4 cents for a 1% climb to $4.85.
Helmerich and Payne rose 13 cents for a 1% gain to $15.02. LSB Industries finished at $2.34 a share for a 24 cent or 11.43% gain. Laredo Petroleum dropped 6 cents for a 1% decline to $9.28.
Magellan Midstream Partners closed up 44 cents for a 1.20% gain to $36.96. Mammoth Energy Services settled at $1.71 for a 4 cent or 2.40% gain. Matrix Service had a 9 cent or 1.10% increase to $8.25.
NGL Energy Partners added 35 cents for a 9% jump to $4.34. OGE Energy dropped 22 cents for a 1% loss to $30.92. ONE Gas Inc. slid 32 cents to $73.38 per share. ONEOK jumped 50 cents for a 1.70% gain to $29.95.
Ovintiv Inc. closed up 16 cents for a 2% gain to $9.64. Panhandle Oil and Gas finished up 11 cents for a 7% increase to $1.70. SandRidge Energy lost 6 cents for a 3.47% decline to $1.67.
WPX Energy closed at $4.77 for a 15 cent or 3.05% loss. Williams Cos. saw a 26 cent or 1.34% increase to $19.68.
Other energy stocks fell as well.
