Directors, ratepayers question donation from Nebraska electric co-op to political committee

 

In Nebraska, questions are being raised about a loan from a private cooperative of rural public power districts to a group created in the political fight against expansion of wind and solar generation in the state.

The Lincoln Journal Star’s story focuses on the startup loan given the group Nebraskans for Reliable and Affordable Electricity, a group formed to counter the “tens of thousands of dollars in out-of-state money” contributed to political candidates who want to see more wind turbines and solar operations in the state.
