As the old 5th Dimension song said “Up, Up and Away!” is the best description for what happened in Monday’s trading of Oklahoma energy stocks. Some jumped as much as 10% from Friday’s results and it’s clear that managers of the energy firms hope it’s a sign of better days to come amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. rose 8 cents or about 3% to reach $2.94. Blueknight Energy Partners LP increased 2 cents or 1.39% to hit $1.46 per share. Chesapeake Energy had a 7 cent or 1.79% increase to $3.97.
Continental Resources jumped nearly 8% or 95 cents per share and settled at $13.24. Cypress Environmental Partners LP was unchanged at $2.10. Devon Energy finished up 55 cents or 5.73% a share at $10.15.
Enable Midstream Partners settled at $4.45 for a 1 cent increase. Helmerich and Payne finished at $14.56, up 55 cents for a 4% gain. Laredo Petroleum ended the day up 5 cents at $9.29.
Magellan Midstream Partners rose $1.03 per share for a 3% gain to reach $35.70. Mammoth Energy Services ended up 9 cents for a nearly 6% gain to $1.68. Matrix Service Company added 9 cents for a 1% gain to $8.81.
OGE Energy Corp finished Monday’s trading with a 3.12% gain of 97 cents a share to $32.03. ONE Gas rose 60 cents or 1% to hit $70.29. ONEOK gained 4% or $1.08 per share and settled at $27.61.
Ovintiv Inc. added 72 cents for a 9.29% gain to $8.47. Panhandle Oil and Gas finished with a 3.36% gain of 5 cents a share to reach $1.54. SandRidge Energy finished at $1.76 for a 9.32% or 15 cent gain.
WPX Energy ended at $5.24 for a 31 cent or 6.29% gain. Williams Companies finished trading with a gain of 45 cents per share or 2.36% to reach $19.54.
