Energy companies struggled again during Thursday’s trading with a majority seeing a slight dip in their stocks. A few Oklahoma companies saw their shares jump in trading but otherwise it proved to be a continued up-and-down day for energy investors.
Alliance Resource Partners fell more than 2% after dropping 6 cents to $2.86. Blueknight Energy Partners dropped one cent for a nearly 1% decline to $1.42. Chesapeake Energy plunged 10% after suffering a 49 cent fall to $4.36 per share.
Continental Resources managed a 17 cent increase for a 1.35% gain to $12.73. Cypress Environmental Partners shrugged off one cent to $2.20. But Devon Energy managed a 3.23% increase of 28 cents to $8.96.
Enable Midstream managed a 7 cent increase for about a 2% gain to $4.15. Helmerich and Payne notched a 12 cent loss for about a 1% decline to $13.97. Laredo Petroleum finished 7 cents down for a 1% drop to $9.40.
Magellan Midstream Partners settled down 50 cents for a 1.46% decline to $33.75. Mammoth Energy Services ended down 4 cents which amounted to a 2% drop to $1.92. Matrix Service Company was unchanged at $7.80.
NGL Energy Partners managed a 6 cent increase or a nearly 2% gain to $3.57. OGE Energy Corporation added 3 cents to reach $29.09. ONE Gas tacked on 59 cents for about a 1% gain to $67.14. ONEOK slipped 6 cents to $24.48.
Ovintiv Inc. picked up 37 cents for a gain of 4.38% to hit $8.81 per share. Panhandle Oil and Gas dropped 5 cents which amounted to a nearly 3% decline to $1.63. SandRidge Energy suffered a 9 cent drop or a nearly 5% decline to $1.72 a share.
WPX Energy added 6 cents for a gain of 1.38% to $4.41. Williams Companies Inc. saw a 2 cent climb to $19.93.
