Ovintiv to resume drilling in Oklahoma’s STACK

 

Oklahoma’s drilling activity is still in a deep recession but this week, Houston’s Ovintiv Mid-Continent Inc. applied for and won a permit to do more drilling in the STACK in the state.

The company received a permit for the CHLOUBER FED 1608 #8H-16X located at 27 16N 8W in Kingfisher County.

The site is about 8 miles west of the city of Kingfisher and south of state highway 33.

Two permits to drill were issued to T and L Oil Inc. based in Tonkawa for two wells on a single pad at 15 3N 9E in Cimarron County. Both are Hanes Trust wells to be drilled at a site east of Boise City and south of state highway 412.
