The cool blast Oklahoma is expecting next week and the following week will have an impact on the output of natural gas. Not just in Oklahoma but across the U.S.
Data provide Refinitv predicts the Lower 48 natural gas output will be on track to fall to 83.8 billion cubic feet a day. That’s the lowest level since August 2018.
Reuters also reported that low gas prices earlier this year prompted energy firms to cut back on drilling by so much that the amount of gas from new wells was no longer enough to cover declines in existing wells.
Oklahoma temperatures will top out at 90 degrees this weekend but in the coming days, we’ll see daytime highs of only 70!
