Chaparral Energy moves forward with Chapter 11 bankruptcy hearings

 

Oklahoma City-based Chaparral Energy has taken more actions in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection case filed in Delaware U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

In a published notice the company said it has filed petitions for relief under the Chapter 11 and a hearing will be held in court on Oct. 1 of this year. The combined hearing, according to the legal notice is to consider confirmation of Chaparral’s plan of reorganization and its disclosure statement.

The hearing before Judge Mary F. Walrath will also allow for any objections to the plan, contracts and leases. Those who object to the bankruptcy plan have until Sept. 21 to file in writing.
