We stand corrected in our report that Oklahoma Congressman Tom Cole was one of three Representatives from the state who voted against the Great American Outdoors Act passed last week in the House.
He voted “for” the measure as did Oklahoma’s Democrat in the House, Rep. Kendra Horn. The measure was passed on a 310-107 vote.
Oklahoma Reps. Kevin Hern and Frank Lucas voted against the act while Rep. Markwayne Mullin did not vote on the bill.
Democrats called it one of the most significant conservation legislative pieces in decades. The Act will provide mandatory annual funding of $900 million to the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
