Nebraska legislators, scientists make 11th hour bid for climate change study

 

'An unprecedented event': Nebraska's losses from 2019 flooding, blizzard exceed $3.4 billion

 

 

 

Some Nebraska legislators are starting a push with environmentalists and others to come up with a climate action plan….one they hope will be approved by the legislature this year.

One climate scientist who retired from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln proclaimed, “The implications of this are just incredible for our state–our economy, our social fabric, the health and well-being of Nebraskans according to the Omaha World-Herald.
