Laredo Petroleum averaged only $25 a barrel for oil prices in past three months

Laredo Petroleum indicated in a filing with the Securities Exchange Commission it averaged less than $25 a barrel of crude oil in the three month period of April, May and June of this year.
The Tulsa company filed preliminary results for its commodity derivatives, weighted-average common shares outstanding and average sales prices for the three-month period that ended June 30.
The average price it received for a barrel of oil was $24.66 during that time while natural gas liquids averaged $4.81 barrel and natural gas was only $0.61 per Mcf.
Its settlements for oil totaled $73.8 million during the period while those for Natural Gas Liquids came to $7.6 million and those for natural gas reached $5.5 million.
 Its settlements received for matured commodity derivatives totaled $86.9 million. The SEC filing showed that Laredo paid $50.6 million in premiums for the commodity derivaties that will mature through 2021.
The Company’s common shares outstanding as of June 30, 2020 were 11.9 million.
